Obra de obra

Various sites, Mexico City and Oaxaca City

2016-2019
Founder, creative director and artist liaison

Over four seasons across 6 different sites, Obra en Obra sought to reverse processes and reveal confrontations. By taking art (obra) out of conventional spaces and putting it into a construction site (obra), we seek to contrast the work with an unexpected space, one that is in a constant process of modification.

Artists were invited to bring ephemeral installations to a site that was also caught in flux, in the moment before it solidifies into material permanence and the pattern of everyday use.
